Located in Old Montreal right next to the Place d'Youville is the Musée Pointe-à-Callière, Montreal's museum of history and archaeology. With new exhibits every few months, you can learn about how Montreal came to be, from the days of the Iroquois in the 1500s to the colonial era of New France, the British conquest and everything in between until the present day. The museum is also a Canadian National Historic Site since 1998.
